20 Weeks.. Half Way There!!!

I cannot believe that we are already at the half way point, where have the weeks gone!? We are slowly starting to prepare for baby girl's arrival and Mya sure is excited to have a baby sister. Last week we took Grandpa and Grandma Gamm to see baby girl at a private ultrasound. They were absolutely amazed. Mya loved the sound of the baby's heartbeat and now anytime she talks about her "baby sister" she has to mention her heartbeat. It is adorable. My heart is full and I cannot wait to see my two girls interact.

We will officially be starting regular belly pictures next week but here is a sneak peek at my 20 week belly. Although I am bigger at 20 weeks this pregnancy I am still relatively small. I like to say I am good at hiding away the baby.

Last Friday was my final appointment with Dr. Ngo. It was bitter sweet but I will be switching to Kaiser at the first of the year because sadly Dr. Ngo will no longer honor VBAC deliveries and I do not want to have an elected c-section with this baby. I want the chance to trial labor and at least see how it goes. Kaiser is the only medical practice that will honor a mother's request to VBAC. I am excited about this labor. We hired a doula, Shannon, who is absolutely wonderful and very experienced. I am feeling positive about getting the delivery I want!!!

At the last appointment Dr. Ngo attempted to confirm your gender but he said you were hugging the placenta. Silly girl... Already a snuggler, your daddy is very happy to hear that because he looooooves his snuggles.

We love you very very much and cannot wait to give you kisses all over!!!

Week 20:
You now weigh about 10-11 ounces, 10 inches from head to heel, and growing like crazy in my belly. You are starting to practice swallowing and getting ready to take your first meal shortly after delivery and mommy is slowly preparing your first meal as I get ready to breastfeed you. I am starting to feel you regularly and your little kicks and punches make me light up. Daddy and Mya have not got to feel you yet since your jabs aren't quite strong enough to feel from the outside, but very soon they will. I cannot wait to feel your hiccups for the first time. It is one of my favorite parts of being pregnant.
