31 weeks... Maternity Pictures and 3D/4D Ultrasound!!!

Sneak Peak Maternity Pictures

Saturday 2/22/14 we met with Ericka for our maternity/ Mya's 2nd bday photo shoot at Mentryville Ghost town in Newhall CA. It was a perfect morning, the sun was shining, the skies were clear, and the clouds were picture perfect. What a beautiful day to document the 2 most important people in our lives. This was just a sneak peak picture and I CANNOT wait to see the rest of them. I am sure they are amazing. Ericka has been doing our family pictures since we were pregnant with Mya and she does an amazing job at capturing candid moments.

Later that day after maternity pictures we visited grandpa and grandma gamm which was a lot of fun. Mya loves being a ham with grandma and was so curious about what grandpa was doing. After our visit with grandpa and grandma we went to see Emmi in a 3D/4D ultrasound. At first she was being stubborn and had her face covered with her hands and legs but after getting up and moving around she had moved. Emmi's little face is already so plump and chubby at 31 weeks. She was sticking her tongue out and drinking the fluid. She was being super bratty and kicking/punching the ultrasound wand when the tech was pressing in places she did not like. haha... Can't wait to meet our sweet baby girl!!!!

30 weeks and on the Down Hill Stretch!

30 weeks!! My little baby bump!

Can you believe 30 weeks have come and gone so fast! Each day that passes I am more and more in shock that we will soon meet our sweet sweet Emmi. Yes we decided on a name. first name at least EMMI. I presented the name Emma to daddy and he said it sounded like an old British woman (haha) and he suggested Emmi. I loved it! Even more then Emma. And just like that Emmi got a name. It was weird to start calling her by name but we have been gradually and now its feeling very natural and easy.

So far this pregnancy has been a breeze and I check my blood pressure regularly and so far so good. I haven't even gain 10lbs which I am very excited about. Its basically all baby, placenta, and fluid. We got a treadmill a few weeks ago and I have been committed to walking every night and rarely skip an evening. Daddy has been helping me to stay motivated and giving me the time to get my walking done while he tends to crazy Mya.

Mya is already so in love with her baby sister. She loves to feel her hiccup and talks to my stomach regularly. I am sure they will be the best of friends.

April 18th 2014 will most likely be my last day which will give me a week or so to physically, mentally and emotionally prepare for the Emmi's arrival.

This weekend we have maternity pictures and we get to see our sweet baby girl for our 3D/4D ultrasound. I cannot wait to see those chubby little cheeks, luscious lips, and button nose. I always wonder how she will look and if she will be completely opposite of her sister. <3

Emmi is a maniac in my stomach. Mya was quiet most of the day and active at night and her movements were subtle but Emmi, she is constantly moving alllll day and even when I wake at night to pee she is going going. And she is very aggressive. I feel her in my hip (OUCH) and sprawled out from one side of my belly to the next. I love feeling her move but man she is non stop. hehe.. LOVE YOU BABY GIRL!

Can someone please stop time. I feel like I am racing the clock. 30 weeks today!!! I feel great physically and Emmi is growing like a weed. Lots of good things coming up in the next month. February 22nd we have an appointment for our 3D/4D scan where we get to see Emmi's sweet squishy face on the big screen and get pictures and a movie. Cannot wait to see her!!! February 23rd we have a maternity/family photo shoot with our photographer. I better get on with planning coordinating outfits foe daddy, Mya and me. :)

Auntie Val and Jackie are planning the "sprinkle" for March 9th where we get to celebrate your arrival with our friends and family. We will also celebrate Mya's 2nd birth that day since all our loved ones will be there.

The nursery is coming along slowly but surely. We have most of the office cleared out and most of the furniture is purchased. The last big ticket item left to buy is the glider. Which I already know which one I want. It's the same as Mya's just in a white and grey color. They will coordinate but not be exactly the same. Excited to see the completed nursery.

We love you Emmi and can't wait to see you, squeeze you, and love on you!!!

27 Weeks....

After 3 anatomy scans, you finally cooperated and they were finally able to see your little heart and face. You have been in tight awkward positions the previous 2 ultrasounds making it hard for the tech to get the pictures needed of all your sweet baby parts!

PROFILE PICTURE 27 WEEKS

CUTE LITTLE ALIEN FACE 27 WEEKS

LIP AND NOSE 27 WEEKS

This pregnancy is flying by and although I am so excited to meet you and kiss your little face it makes me sad that it is going so fast. I was lying in bed last night thinking of how I need to savor all the little kicks and hiccups as I felt you moving in my belly and hiccuping.

We are slowly but surely making progress on converting our office/guest room into your nursery. Daddy is working at a snail pace while mommy is being bossy as usual. It will get done sooner then later. I'm so excited to see it completed. The colors are purples, teals/turquoises,and grey. It's going to be gorgeous!

I am working with your Auntie Val on getting the sprinkle together. We are planning to do it March 8 or 9 at Jackie's house. This time will be a co-ed BBQ so daddy and Mya can be apart of it. That will be lots of fun too.

We love you and can't wait to snuggle you. We got Mya a doppler so she can listen to your heart beat in mommy's tummy. She loves it. She calls you baby sister and talks into my belly button. It melts my heart.

Christmas Eve.... 22 weeks

I cannot believe that we are already more then half way through this pregnancy. Baby girl will be here before we know it. Daddy felt you move for the first time this week. It was very exciting for both of us and your big sister Mya felt you move too. She probably did not know what she was feeling but she did. She loves you so much already. Talks about you several times a day and anytime she gets something new she immediately wants to share with baby sister. Which is HUGE since she won't even share with mommy or daddy.

22 weeks going to Alex's 50th birthday party. Baby girl danced in my tummy for the first time. I think you liked it!!!

As of the first of the year I am switching my insurance to Kaiser so I can attempt my VBAC. Unfortunately Dr. Ngo was not receptive to that idea so switching insurance and doctors was my only option. Although very excited I am still nervous. Change is always nerve wracking! But I feel great about it and daddy is 100% supportive and on board (as usual)!

You're a busy baby girl going alllll over with your mommy, daddy, and big sister. We love you and think/talk of you daily. When you finally arrive it'll be like you were always here I just know it... You're already a huge part of our lives and we love you so much. We cannot imagine our lives without you!

22 weeks: This week you are starting to look like a mini newborn, with your eyelids, lips, and brows becoming more distinctive. You already 1lb and 11 inches from head to bum. Getting big in there... WE LOVE YOU baby girl!

20 Weeks.. Half Way There!!!

I cannot believe that we are already at the half way point, where have the weeks gone!? We are slowly starting to prepare for baby girl's arrival and Mya sure is excited to have a baby sister. Last week we took Grandpa and Grandma Gamm to see baby girl at a private ultrasound. They were absolutely amazed. Mya loved the sound of the baby's heartbeat and now anytime she talks about her "baby sister" she has to mention her heartbeat. It is adorable. My heart is full and I cannot wait to see my two girls interact.

We will officially be starting regular belly pictures next week but here is a sneak peek at my 20 week belly. Although I am bigger at 20 weeks this pregnancy I am still relatively small. I like to say I am good at hiding away the baby.

Last Friday was my final appointment with Dr. Ngo. It was bitter sweet but I will be switching to Kaiser at the first of the year because sadly Dr. Ngo will no longer honor VBAC deliveries and I do not want to have an elected c-section with this baby. I want the chance to trial labor and at least see how it goes. Kaiser is the only medical practice that will honor a mother's request to VBAC. I am excited about this labor. We hired a doula, Shannon, who is absolutely wonderful and very experienced. I am feeling positive about getting the delivery I want!!!

At the last appointment Dr. Ngo attempted to confirm your gender but he said you were hugging the placenta. Silly girl... Already a snuggler, your daddy is very happy to hear that because he looooooves his snuggles.

We love you very very much and cannot wait to give you kisses all over!!!

Week 20:
You now weigh about 10-11 ounces, 10 inches from head to heel, and growing like crazy in my belly. You are starting to practice swallowing and getting ready to take your first meal shortly after delivery and mommy is slowly preparing your first meal as I get ready to breastfeed you. I am starting to feel you regularly and your little kicks and punches make me light up. Daddy and Mya have not got to feel you yet since your jabs aren't quite strong enough to feel from the outside, but very soon they will. I cannot wait to feel your hiccups for the first time. It is one of my favorite parts of being pregnant.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!! 18 weeks!

We found out it's a girl November 16th 2013!!!! We are so excited that Mya will have a baby sister to love and teach her adorable mischievous ways. I am thrilled to the bone that I will get to raise sisters and show them how to love and unconditionally be there for one another. I get goosebumps at the thought of them being best friends throughout their lifetimes. Watching them help each other, plan one another's weddings, help when they have babies of their own. The thought tickles me that I have been blessed with the joy of loving two girls!!
We are hoping that this baby girl comes out and is more like her daddy and less like her sister and mommy as poor daddy cannot take another ME! haha but I have never met a set of sisters who were the same in personality. In fact they are typically very opposite which gives us hope that his baby girl will be mellow and less spastic than Mya! **wishful thinking**
We are still unsure of baby girl's name but hope to come to a decision sooner then later so we can give her a name to call. Daddy has been reluctant to discuss name before we found out gender and now that we know let the lists and discussions begin. We have thrown around a few names but nothing has stuck or been decided.
This week is Thanksgiving and I am 18 weeks pregnant. I have so much to be thankful for this year. Not only do I have a healthy shining toddler but a growing healthy baby in my belly. We will be celebrating Thanksgiving at home this year with just Auntie Val, Uncle Jeremy and maybe Uncle Vince. I can't wait to watch the gatherings grow as our families grow and Mya and baby girl get cousins in the near future. This is what life is all about, growing, loving, and having fun!

18 weeks:
Baby girl is about 5-1/2 inches and 7 oz and moving around like crazy. Although I feel baby's movement here and there it is still not strong or regular. I cannot wait for those BIG baby kicks and especially the hiccups! Her internal lady parts are starting to form and develop throughout the next couple of months.
I am feeling great finally and although I am going to sleep at 9:30pm on average I have lots of energy throughout the day and thus far no aches or pains. YET!
